MASS TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT/ TRANSPORTATION INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) and the U.S. Army Garrison, Presidio of Monterey (POM) are participating in the Federal Government’s Mass Transportation Benefit Program (MTBP) and Transportation Incentive Program (TIP).

What is it?

The federal MTBP/TIP provides reimbursement for mass transit commuting costs to and from work in order to reduce federal employees’ contribution to traffic congestion and air pollution and to expand their commuting alternatives.

What does this mean to the employees – military, civilian, and NAF—who are eligible? It means that you could be riding to work for free!

POM Bus Program Participants:

There have been important changes in the POM bus program. Navy, Marine and Air Force process applications online. The Army still utilizes a paper application which is submitted to Building 418.

TRANServe Cards are located at Bldg. 418 on the Presidio of Monterey.

Bus Pass Vending Machines

To obtain your bus pass, insert your TRANServe card into vending machine slot and a bus pass will be dispensed. Currently, there are five locations:
